(They are saying this is speaking doom on them.) The church today for the most part thought of coming to the Lord Jesus Christ, is to use him as a crutch. Use him for the good deeds, the world being you; 1 John 2:16; For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. His call is not for you but him in you; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. There are some conclusions you have to come to; Romans 7:18; For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
