“Is Going To Church, A Place Of Worship Or A Dwelling Place?” Genesis 4:1; And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord. (It was God’s intent that all men should be as, which was mention about David; Acts 13:22; And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king, to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.) Genesis 4:2; And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. (Abel, It was a dwelling place, a keeper of sheep: Isaiah 26:3; Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Cain, It was a place of worship, until the world came calling. Remember, he was a tiller of the ground: Mark 4:18; And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word. v19; And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.) Genesis 4:3; And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. (Jesus gave a parable to answer this: Matthew 25:24-29; v25; And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. v26; His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: v27; Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. (He didn’t show the Lord, a dwelling.)) Genesis 4:4; And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: (Matthew 25:20; And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, Thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. v21; His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. (The Lord dwelleth in the increase.)) Genesis 4:5; But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. “Is Going To Church, A Place Of Worship Or A Dwelling Place?” Genesis 4:6; And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? v7; If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. “Going To Church, A Place Of Worship Or A Dwelling Place?” John 4:24; God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. “Going To Church, A Place Of Worship Or A Dwelling Place? “A Presence/Present Being!” (A crying unto the Lord, with meaning: Pls Read; 1 Peter 3:15, 1 Peter 5:6,7, Judges 3:15-30) “A Presence/Present Being!” Judges 3:15; But when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjamite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab. (When left-handedness is an advantage, not a weakness. 1 Corinthians 1:27; But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. Sitting at the left hand is still a position of honor. 2 Corinthians 12:9; And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.) “A Presence/Present Being!” Judges 3:16; But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh. v17; And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man. v18; And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare the present. (Let me sum up the above verses; Dagger, Ephesians 6:11; Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. A Very Fat Man, v12; For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Made An End To Offer The Present, v14; Stand therefore, having your lions girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. “A Presence/Present Being!” Judges 3:19; But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king. (The quarries, a secret errand; 1 Corinthians 9:26; I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.) Judges 3:20; And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat. (Isaiah 59:19; When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.) “A Presence/Present Being!” Judges 3:21; And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly: v22; And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out. (Ehud thrust his life in him, the word, the light of men; John 1:1-4. He got the dirt out; v5; And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.) “A Presence/Present Being!” Psalm 46:1; God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. “A Presence/Present Being!” Teaching About Being! “Password?” (To identify a particular group of people.) Holiness; 1 Peter 3:15; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. “Password?” Judges 12:1; And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire. v2; And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands. (We have to stop allowing our flesh, to alienate us from our being: Matthew 26:41; Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.) Judges 12:3; And when I saw that ye delivered me not, I put my life in my hands, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and the Lord delivered them into my hand: wherefore then are ye come up unto me this day, to fight against me? (There is a question that needs to be posed to the church, why trust flesh? Take this time and chance; Ecclesiastes 9:11; I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.) “Password?” Judges 12:4; Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites. (You have put up a fight for who you are: 1 Timothy 6:12; Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.) “Password?” Judges 12:5; And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay; (Quit not being able: 2 Corinthians 13:5; Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?) “Password?” Judges 12:6; Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: And he said Sibboleth: for he could not (frame) to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan. (Psalm 127:1; Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Believe all the ways: Galatians 3:3; Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh. There is no passage in that.) “Password? Holiness!” Teaching! “Sanctified, A Need To Be!” (BLESS YOU!) Without, it can cause a lack of participation from you. 1 Kings 18:21; And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. (A fear in your being. 2 Timothy 1:7; For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.) “Sanctified, A Need To Be!” 1 Kings 18:22; Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, (remain) a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. (Philippians 4:5; Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.) “Sanctified, A Need To Be!” Without, it can cause a lack of participation from the Lord. 1 Kings 18:24; And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. (This is a prime example of one not wanting to part ways with yourselves.) 2 Timothy 3:4; Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. 1 Kings 18:25; And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for your-selves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under. (Church, these are persons, places or things that we are a part of, and believe in.) 2 Timothy 3:5; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 1 Kings 18:26; And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. (Psalm 52:7; Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. John 2:24; But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, v25; And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.) “Sanctified, A Need To Be!” 2 Corinthians 6:17; Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 1 Kings 18:36; And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came (near), and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. (He is showing his separation: 2 Peter 1:10; Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.) 1 Kings 18:37; Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. (Sanctified, it will speak to the Lord: Titus 1:9; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.) “Sanctified, A Need To Be! 1 Kings 18:38; Then the fire of the Lord fell: 1 Peter 3:15; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. “Salvation An Inside Job!” Many will say, here he goes again being radical. But I can’t be a tradition bearer, but a spreader of the gospel: 1 Corinthians 9:16; For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! “Salvation An Inside Job!” Matthew 15:1; Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, v2; Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. v3; But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? (When we do ourselves, we have the tendency to make new rules: 1 Timothy 4:8; For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.) “Salvation An Inside Job!” Matthew 15:7; Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, v8; This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. (He is not just talking about regular church folks, but, the irregular ones also: Romans 10:2; For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. v3; For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. (Ourselves making new rules.)) “Salvation An Inside Job!” Matthew 15:11; Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. v13; But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. ( The work is on the inside: Psalm 34:18; The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.) “Salvation An Inside Job!” Matthew 15:16; And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? v17; Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? v18; But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. (That brings us to the job: Proverbs 4:23; Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Deuteronomy 6:5; And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.) (Read: Matthew 15:1-20.) “Salvation An Inside Job! Teaching! “That’s Something!” For we all come to the Lord Jesus Christ, for a life that means something. Matthew 17:1; And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, ( 2 Timothy 2:15; Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.) “That’s Something!” Matthew 17:2; And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. John 15:3; Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. “That’s Something!” Matthew 17:3; And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Matthew 5:17; Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Romans 8:37; Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. “That’s Something!” Matthew 17:4; Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. v5; While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. John 10:1; Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. John 14:6; Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. “That’s Something!” Matthew 17:6; And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. v7; And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. v8; And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. (A perfect example of; Hebrews 12:2; Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.) “That’s Something!” Matthew 17:9; And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. (You tell them by your showing; Philippians 3:8; Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, (Read v9.) v10; That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; v11; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.) “That’s Something! “Can You Hear Me Now?” (Why the Lord, hasn’t answered your prayer.) Jeremiah 33:1; Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying, v2; Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name; v3; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (The Lord is saying this because, your call has been drop. Matthew 15:8; This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.) “Can You Hear Me Now?” (Why the Lord hasn’t answered your prayer.) Isaiah 59:1; Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: v2; But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. “If He Was Only With You, All The Time!” Mark 10:27; And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. “If He Was Only With You, All The Time!” 1 Samuel 17:26; And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God? (All this is, is an opportunity to show strength. James 4:7; Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.) “If He Was Only With You, All The Time!” 1 Samuel 17:28; And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. (It shows us a way, to keep him with us, at all times. Romans 8:28; And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. “If He Was Only With You, All The Time!” 1 Samuel 17:29; And David said, What have I now done? “Who Is This?” Matthew 7:3; And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? (This is a typical happening in church, now days. Operating in the Lord without the life. Romans 14:5; One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. I use this scripture to show, church folks do church, one moment, and the next they’re back to being themselves.) “Who Is This?” Matthew 7:4; Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? (Now here, he’s not saying you have to have obtain being perfect. But, instead, holding yourself accordingly. Titus 1:9; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.) “Who Is This?” Matthew 7:5; Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. (Here he is speaking to part-timers. Part of the time you, other times the Lord, acting rather. John 2:24; But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, v25; And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.) “Who Is This?” Acts 19:13; Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. (When the flesh out weighs the spirit, you will have these moments. John 6:63; It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing.) “Who Is This?” Acts 19:14; And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. v15; And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? (This happens a lot in the spirit realm in the church. More earthy image then heavenly, 1 Corinthians 15:49. Because of the absence of a constant walk in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58; Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. “Who Is This? Matthew 7:22; Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? v23; And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (v29; For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.) “Who Is This?” John 15:5; I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. “Who Is This?” Teaching!
