“RELATIONSHIP, A WILLINGLY RECEIVED!” With church folks today it’s common to hear, I have a relationship with the Lord. The problem with most of these relationships is, the Lord is waiting for you, but yet your concerns is elsewhere. Galatians 5:7; Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? John 14:6; Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Ephesians 4:22; That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; v23; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; v24; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (A willingly received. Amos 3:3; Can two walk together, except they be agreed?) “RELATIONSHIP, A WILLINGLY RECEIVED!” John 6:16; And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea, v17; And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them. (Here is a common occurrence with church folks in the absence of being in church, being with the Lord. You’ll go fleshly being in the world. Galatians 3:3; Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Philippians 2:12; Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.) “RELATIONSHIP, A WILLINGLY RECEIVED!” John 6:18; And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. (This is a prime reacting of the flesh. 1 Corinthians 9:27; But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.) John 6:19; So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid. (When you keep yourself it will show your relationship. 2 Timothy 1:7; For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.) John 6:20; But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. “RELATIONSHIP, A WILLINGLY RECEIVED!” John 6:21; Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went. 1 Peter 3:15; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. “CHURCH, THE IMAGE IS BLEMISHED WITHOUT THE LIKENESS!” This is the being in the church today that has been horribly overlooked. The image with the likeness; Mark 1:17; And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. Pay attention to become fishers of men. There is also a revelation here, not just to catch other men, but to catch yourself most of all. The image without the likeness; John 21:3; Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. Mark 4:14; The sower soweth the word. v18; And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, v19; And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. Image blemished without the likeness; Romans 10:2; For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. v3; For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. “CHURCH, THE IMAGE IS BLEMISHED WITHOUT THE LIKENESS!” Genesis 1:26; And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. The image with the likeness. As Ezekiel said; Ezekiel 10:10; And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel. v11; When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went. v12; And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had. Hebrews 12:2; Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Ezekiel 10:14; And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. v15; And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar. In Christ is all the faces, cherub, man, lion and eagle. Now pay attention to the river of of Chebar, place of strength. Philippians 3:3; For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Ezekiel 10:16-22; v22; And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves: they went every one straight forward. Galatians 2:20; I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. "HOLINESS, BEING THE ANSWER!” I want to make it very clear, holiness in todays church whenever it’s brought up. Is being talked about as a religious experience. Jude 1:16; These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But instead, holiness is a christian being. 1 Peter 3:15; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. “HOLINESS, BEING THE ANSWER!” Habakkuk 2:2; And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Genesis 39:11; And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within. v12; And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. (Being the answer, got him out.) Daniel 3:16; Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. v18; But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (Being the answer, in this matter.) Joseph and the Hebrew boys, Being was the answer. Daniel 3:25; He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. (Being was the answer.) “HOLINESS, A WALK IN THE SPIRIT!” John 4:24; God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (This is a manifesto, a public statement stating your views or your intention to do something. Galatians 5:25; If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.) “HOLINESS, A WALK IN THE SPIRIT!” Mark 1:9; And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. v10; And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him. (This baptism is meaningful to us in the sense of walk. Romans 6:3; Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? v5; For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: v8; Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: v21; What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.) “HOLINESS, A WALK IN THE SPIRIT!” Matthew 4:1; Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into wilderness to be tempted of the devil. v2; And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 1 Peter 2:11; Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. Matthew 4:3; And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. James 1:14; But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Romans 8:13; For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Matthew 4:4; But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.  2 Timothy 2:9; Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. 2 Corinthians 3:17; Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. “HOLINESS, A WALK IN THE SPIRIT!” Galatians 5:16; This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. “WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO THE MEANINGFUL CRY?” Jeremiah 6:16; Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. “WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO THE MEANINGFUL CRY?” Mark 10:46; And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the high-way side begging. Psalm 34:18; The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Mark 10:47; And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. “DON’T LET LIFE HAVE YOU, YOU HAVE IT!” Matthew 6:33; But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. “DON’T LET LIFE HAVE YOU, YOU HAVE IT!” 2 Chronicles 26:5; And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper. v7; And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur-baal, and the Mehunims. v8; And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah: and his name spread abroad even to the entering in of Egypt; for he strengthened himself exceedingly. (You have it; Ephesians 3:20; Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.) “DON’T LET LIFE HAVE YOU, YOU HAVE IT!” 1 Kings 17:11; And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. v12; And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. (Life have you; 2 Corinthians 4:18; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (You have it; 1 Corinthians 7:35; And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction. 1 John 2:17; And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. “HE’S TIME CONSUMING!” 1 Samuel 3:1; And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision. v2; And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; v3; And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; (These things will happen if you take time out; Matthew 24:12; And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.) 1 Samuel 3:4; That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. v7; Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him. v9; Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. v10; And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. (These things take time; 1 Peter 5:6; Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: v7; Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.) 1 Samuel 3:11; And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. (Time will tell; Galatians 5:25; If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.) “HE’S TIME CONSUMING!” 1 Samuel 3:15; And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision. (Flesh will always attempt to mess with your timing; Galatians 5:17; For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.) 1 Samuel 3:18; And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good. (Taking its time; Ecclesiastes 9:11; I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.) 1 Samuel 3:19; And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. v20; And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord. “YOU CAN’T SEE GOD, UNLESS YOU GET IT RIGHT!” 1 Samuel 9:3; And the asses of Kish Saul’s father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses. v5; And when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return; lest my father leave caring for the asses, and take thought for us. (Get it right; Amos 3:3; Can two walk together, except they be agreed?) “YOU CAN’T SEE GOD, UNLESS YOU GET IT RIGHT!” 1 Samuel 9:6; And he said unto him, Behold now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honourable man; all that he saith cometh surely to pass: now let us go thither; peradventure he can shew us our way that we should go. v7; Then said Saul to his servant, But, behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? v8; And the servant answered Saul again, and said, Behold, I have here at hand the fourth part of a shekel of silver: that will I give to the man of God, to tell us our way. (Get it right; Mark 8:34; And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.) “YOU CAN’T SEE GOD, UNLESS YOU GET IT RIGHT!” 1 Samuel 9:11; And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here? (Get it right; James 4:8; Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.) “YOU CAN’T SEE GOD, UNLESS YOU GET IT RIGHT!” 1 Samuel 9:12; And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, he is before you: make haste now, for he came to day to the city; for there is a sacrifice of the people to day in the high place: v13; As soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; and afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him. (Get it right; Romans 12:1; I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. v2; And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.) “YOU CAN’T SEE GOD, UNLESS YOU GET IT RIGHT!” 1 Samuel 9:14; And they went up into the city: and when they were come into the city, behold, Samuel came out against them, for to go up to the high place. v18; Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, where the seer’s house is. v19; And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up before me unto the high place: for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart. v20; And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found.
